Admission

Admission requirements for new students for the academic year 2021-2022:

1- New students coming from schools within Lebanon

    1. Two passport photos

    2. Official documents by nationality:

       * Lebanese Student: new Individual Civil extract, Civil Family Extract.

       * Syrian Student:  Individual registration statement (Duly certified for Gr. 9 and Gr. 12)

       * Palestinian Student: Palestinian Refugee card.

       * Other nationalities: copy of a valid foreign passport.

    3. Copy of the last electricity or phone bill (for home address)

    4. Medical certificate

    5. Medical report or copy of vaccination booklet (Special for Kindergarten)

    6. Final report card.

    7. An original official attestation from the previous school, certified by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Education as of the end of first grade (Gr. 1)

    8. Special for Brevet and Gr 12 classes: Residency permit for foreigners.

 - The student registration process is completed ONLY after ALL required documents are presented.

 

2. New students coming from abroad to continue the Lebanese curriculum

    1. Two passport photos

    2. Official Documents;

       * New Individual Civil extract, Civil Family Extract

       * Original not cancelled passport

       *Photocopy of passport stamped with an entry visa to Lebanon (for Non-Lebanese)

       * StudentĀ´s residency throughout the study period.

    3. Copy of the last electricity or phone bill (to determine the address)

    4.  Medical certificate

    5. For kindergarten section: Medical report or photocopy of the vaccination card that the child received

** From Grade 1 till Grade 6:

    6.  Final School grades card

    7.  Certificate of achievement certified by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Education of the country where the student has resided earlier, provided that it is authenticated by the Lebanese Embassy or Consulate of that country.

*** From Grade 7 and above:

    6. Report card with an original certification of the last three years from the previous school with the final results certified by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Education and the Lebanese Embassy or Consulate in the country of study and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lebanon with a copy of them all.

    7. A certified equivalence issued from the Equivalence Committee –UNESCO – Beirut. 

    8.  Residency permit for foreigners (Special for Brevet and Gr 12 classes)

    9. A certified copy of the Brevet certificate for the students who completed grade 9 students from the country where it applies.

All copies of official documents must be in black and white. (Colored copies are not accepted)

Remarks:

-  The grade reports of students coming from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must only be certified by the Saudi Ministry of Education.

- The students coming from the Lebanese School of Qatar do not have the right to follow the foreign curriculum and are exempted from the equivalence for the Lebanese curriculum from grade 7 and above.

- The deadline for submitting the equivalency to the school administration: mid-October

- The student registration process is completed ONLY after ALL required documents are presented.

3. New students coming from abroad following the IP program and exempted from the Lebanese certificates:

   1. Two passport photos

   2. Official Documents ;

      * New Individual Civil extract,

      *Civil Family Extract,

      * Original not cancelled passport,

      *Photocopy of passport stamped with an entry visa to Lebanon (for Non-Lebanese),

      * Student´s residency throughout the study period.

    3.. Copy of the last electricity or phone bill (To determine address)

    4.  Medical certificate.

    5. Report card with an original certification of the last three years from the previous school with the final results certified by the Regional Office of the Ministry of Education and the Lebanese Embassy or Consulate in the country of study with a copy of them all.

    6. A certified equivalence issued from the Equivalence Committee –UNESCO – Beirut.

Remarks:

- The holder of Lebanese and foreign nationalities is entitled to the following equation:

* As a Lebanese who successfully finished 3 years of studies abroad (From Gr. 1 till Gr 7) or successfully finished 2 years of studies abroad (From Gr 8 and above). The years of study in kindergarten do not count.

* Or as a Foreigner in case the conditions mentioned above do not apply (the student will not be able to join the different Unions in Lebanon, because he continued his academic studies as a foreigner)

- The deadline for submitting the equivalency to the school administration: mid-October

- The student registration process is completed ONLY after ALL required documents are presented.

4. New students with special educational needs

1. Cumulative file of the previous school showing the health, psychological and academic status of the student mentioning the type of support requested and including a report from the specialists who followed the student: specialist in speech therapy, psychomotricity, in orthopedagogy, or in psychology (if any).

The file must have an attached certificate of achievement statement by the school stating that the student was mentioned on the nominal lists submitted to the Ministry of Education.

2. Parent interview with the Head of Cycle and the specialized team responsible to record the student´s history and development.

3. Presentation of the student to the appropriate specialist within the school´s specialized team to assess his abilities in a preliminary way in order to determine the type of specialized or educational intervention and the type of proposed integration project within the school.

Remarks:

The admission papers normally required of new students are added to the documents mentioned above.

 - The student registration process is completed ONLY after ALL required documents are presented.

 

5.Age requirements to join classes for all cycles:

* Two years: Students who are 2 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

* Kindergarten:

- KG1: Students who are 3 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

- KG2: Students se who are 4 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

- KG3: Students who are 5 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

** Cycles 1 and 2:

- Grade 1: Students who are 6 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

- Grade 2: Students who are 7 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

- Grade 3: Students who are 8 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

- Grade 4: Students who are 9 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

- Grade 5: Students who are 10 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

- Grade 6: Students who are 11 years of age until 31 January inclusive of the school year.

Remark: We emphasize on the need to provide an appropriate certified certificate of completion beginning the end of Grade 1.

*** Cycles 3 and 4:

The requirement of success shall be applied to the systematic promotion with the assurance that the student  will not be registered unless he holds a school certificate containing the phrase “Promoted” and appropriately certified.

3. Entrance exams information for all sections:

Entrance exams are usually scheduled on two sessions:

* June session

* September session

* The entrance exam schedule will be given upon registration

* From KG3 to Gr. 1: Arabic language, First foreign language and Mathematic

* Cycle 1: Arabic language, First foreign language and Mathematic

*Cycle 2: Arabic language, First foreign language, mathematic and second foreign language

* Cycles 3 and 4: Arabic language, first foreign language, mathematic, physics, chemistry, Biology and second foreign language,
