General Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer, preferably in an educational or institutional setting
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Ex: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong creative and artistic skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
  • Ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of printing processes and materials
  • Familiarity with web design and content management systems is a plus

Reporting: Director of Communication Engagement & Outreach Director

Job Goal: The graphic designer at Rawdat Al Fayhaa will be responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging design materials for various school communications, marketing initiatives, and educational resources. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Communication Engagement & Outreach Director and other school administration to ensure the school’s branding and messaging are effectively conveyed though design.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Graphic Design:

o Create visually compelling design materials, including brochures, posters, banners, social media graphics, newsletters, and other print and digital assets.

  • Collaboration:

o Collaborate with the Communication & Engagement & Outreach Director to conceptualize and execute design projects that align with the school’s goals and messaging

o Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, teachers, and administrators to gather project requirements

  • Photo Editing:

o Edit and retouch photos as needed for design projects, ensuring high-quality visuals

  • Content Creation:

o Assist in the creation of multimedia content, such as infographics, video graphics, and interactive media for educational purposes.

  • Print Production:

o Prepare and finalize design files for print production, ensuring accurate color management and resolution

  • Web Graphics:

o Create and optimize graphics for the school’s website, ensuring consistency with the overall design and branding

  • File management:

o Organize and maintain design files, ensuring they are easily accessible and well-organized

  • Stay Current:

o Stay up to date with design trends and software updates to ensure that the school’s design materials remain fresh and relevant.

Term of Employment: Three - Year Contract renewable yearly by written notice and mutual agreement.

Evaluation Method

The Communication Engagement & Outreach Director shall evaluate the Graphic Designer once a year. The director will drive the evaluation process according to the defined procedure. The KPIs for measuring the effectiveness in delivering quality design materials and contributing to the overall communication and branding of the school include: Quality of Design work; adherence to branding guidelines, timelines, project completion rate, creativity and innovation especially in education resources, efficiency, use of design software and tools, project diversity, graphic file management, contribution to school goals, cost efficiency, professional development, feedback on outcomes, project portfolio.
